Our feeders within the forest are world renowned for attracting the highly sought Snowcap, one of the birds Rancho Naturalista is most famous for. There are also many other species possible here such as Violet-crowned Woodnymph, Brown Violet-ear, Green Hermit, Green Thorntail, Violet Sabrewing, Red-footed Plumeleteer and Green-crowned Brilliant.
 

The Hummingbird Pools offer an exclusive look into the private world of these beautiful gems. Each evening Snowcap, Violet-crowned Woodnymph and the amazing Purple-crowned Fairy come in to bathe as they keep their bodies clean from the debris of their hectic lives. Other species visiting here include the Tawny-throated Leaftosser and Great Tinamou.
